STAFF SERGEANT DERRICK MASENBERG

Derrick was tragically killed on Mar 23 as a result of a
careless driver who cut him off trying to cross 4 lanes of traffic in Tyler, TX
& was killed on impact; he was pronounced dead at 5:50pm. Staff Sergeant Derrick
Masenburge graduated from John Tyler High School in 1992, married his high
school sweetheart & enlisted in the US Army shortly thereafter. Staff Sergeant
Masenburge served 2 tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom & returned home
to Tyler TX to serve as a an Army recruiter. He was posthumously awarded the
Meritorious Service Medal. Staff Sergeant Derrick Masenburge leaves behind a
wife & two sons, 11&16.
